Every week on Friday I spend a few moments reflecting on the four highlights (or interesting things) from Tura Lura Co. that I want to share with you. Let’s get into it!
I am so excited to be partnering with my friends at the Iowa City Downtown District! They will be hosting a variety of ticketed workshops themed around culinary, art, and floral experiences. It’s been raining here in Iowa, keeping us cozy inside this week. It’s great kind of weather to cuddle up with a book and light your favorite candle! All candles are on sale right now on the website. Choose from free local pick up from West Branch or bundle with some gifts and you can get free shipping over $99.
I have a confession. You remember how I sowed some seeds a few weeks ago? The seedlings were doing so well. And then in a busy stretch, I left the grow light on… for a few days. And my little plant babies baked. The lesson in it is that we can’t always been in grow mode. We need rest. That’s been a lesson I’ve had to learn over and over, and I’m really trying to listen. The studio was made to be a space to slow down and be creative. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want the summer months to look like, and I’m looking forward to making the space be a calming spot for you to come have a getaway. The June schedule will release on May 1, so stay tuned!
I am obsessed with Private Parties right now. I love that we have this space in West Branch to host special gatherings. I want it to be accessible and open for folks who want to create and celebrate. My most recent party friends made a day trip getaway to West Branch, shopping and grabbing cocktails after candles. I love how this sweet historic town can be the backdrop to your memories.
